About the event
The Crooked Island Regatta is a "Annual All Island Homecoming". This community event fea tures sailing competition and a variety of festive activities, in addition to the racing with Class C sloops. There will be a float parade from the airport to the Regatta Park, bus tours throughout the island, boat curing, boat riding with performances by Bahamian artists and other activities on board, a fashion show, beauty pageant, local food and drinks for sale, fun and games for the entire family - such as plaiting of the pole, climbing the greasy pole - and contests like conch cracking, bark beating, dancing and much more.
