The Hon. Theresa Moxey-Ingraham; former Cabinet Minister, Member of Parliament. Meritorious Council Member of the FNM and most recently served as Chairman of the National Training Agency.

Nassau, The Bahamas - It is with great regret that we have lost a Bahamian icon in the person of Mrs. Theresa Moxey-Ingraham. Mrs. Moxey-Ingraham served as a former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament, a Meritorious Council Member of the FNM and most recently as Chairman of the National Training Agency. She will be remembered as a faithful and dedicated woman whose reach knew no limits.

As I knew her, Mrs. Moxey-Ingraham was one of the former Senior Cabinet Ministers who played an important role in my political development. She was responsible for grooming me (among many others) how to work the polls during my early days in the FNM; Mrs. Moxey-Ingraham was a fearless woman of business. Under her guidance, I was able to learn the "art of campaigning and canvassing" alongside Dame Janet Bostwick and the Hon. Rome Italia Johnson (political Icons) in the run-up to the General Elections of 2002, 2007 and 2012 respectively.

The Hon Theresa Moxey- Ingraham was a force, a decisive, stern, discipline and humble leader. One who listens, having an ear for those who spoke with her expressing their concerns. Never disrespectful, Helpful and was resourceful in every possible way. Full of wisdom, giving sound advice and a skillful mediator. A negotiator by heart, when you hear "Transparency, Accountability, Honest and Good Governance"she model those values.

Former Minister of Transport and Communications, 1992 to 1994; Minister of Social Development & National Insurance, 1994-1995; Minister of Health and Environment, 1995-1997; Minister of Labour, Immigration and Training, 1997, and Minister Agriculture, Commerce and Industry.

Mrs. Moxey-Ingraham was a teacher, counselor, a preacher who preach the vales of the FNM and it rang out loud. I know without a shadow of a doubt she made Those that came before her proud. I beseech the women of today and in all political parties to pull pages out of the books of Women like "Theresa Moxey-Ingraham, Rome Italia Johnson, and Dame Janet Gwennett Bostwick " etc. These are Women of Valor, Virtues, Values and character.

The Hon. Theresa Moxey-Ingraham was a gem, one that will never be forgotten, she will truly be missed but her teaching and memories will forever live on in our hearts. May God continue to strengthen her family in their time of bereavement. For this we know, "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal".
